Fees + FAQs
Everything most people want to know before starting therapy. Have a question that isn't here? Ask it in your free consultation.
What is your therapy fee?
50 minute individual therapy session: $175
75 minute couple's therapy session: $240
How does therapy begin?
Therapy always begins with an intake session so I can get to know you and your goals, in person or via Telehealth, you decide. During the intake I gather information about you and your mental health concerns: your history, family, symptoms, and more.
You'll also take some clinical measures so we can track your progress over time. Toward the end of the session we'll create goals together, collaboratively, and decide how often to meet.
Do you accept insurance?
I accept Lyra Health benefits and I am an out-of-network provider. I'm happy to provide a receipt of services or superbill upon request.
How often will we meet?
I typically like to meet weekly in the early stages of therapy, either in person or virtually from the comfort of your home or office. We'll decide together what cadence fits your needs and goals.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes! I offer a free 15-minute consultation so I can get to know you and your needs before you decide if you want to work together. There's no obligation. It's a chance for both of us to see if we're a good fit.
Do you take sides in couples therapy?
No, and I mean it. My client is the relationship itself. I work with both partners to understand the cycle you're caught in, and I'll gently challenge each of you in equal measure. Most couples are surprised to find the "problem" isn't either person, it's the pattern between them.
What if my partner is hesitant about therapy?
That's very common, and it doesn't doom the process. A reluctant partner is often worried about being blamed or ganged up on. The free consultation is a low-pressure way for both of you to ask questions and see how I work before committing. And if your partner isn't ready yet, individual therapy can still meaningfully shift a relationship: when one person changes their steps, the dance changes.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is the foundation of therapy. What you share stays between us, with a few legal exceptions every licensed therapist follows: risk of serious harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse of a child or dependent adult, or a court order. We'll go over exactly what this means in our first session, so there are no surprises.
How long will therapy take?
It depends on your goals. Some people come for a few months to work through something specific; others stay longer to shift deeper patterns. We review your progress together regularly (using the clinical measures from your intake) and adjust as we go. You're always in the driver's seat.
